• first and foremost to "Bhattiyil Thevar", under whose sacred feet I place this work. Without his blessing i would not have been inspired to start this blog.

• Also my beloved father Late Shri N.Krishnan Nair, who worked relentlessly for the rebuilding of "Bhattiyil Ambalam" and spent most of his retirement years running from pillar to post to get financial aid for the smooth running of the temple.All the vital information for this blog are taken from the book, which he published in January 1988.

• In addition i would also like to thank the people of Pattithara and the temple administrators who have helped maintain the temple all these years.
